Cardinal Gibbons Chapel & Parking Expansion
Phase 1 of the Master Plan was adopted in April 2024. This phase encompasses several key components: expanding on-site parking, converting the wet pond into below-grade storage, and creating a new access drive from Trinity Road. The scope of work includes initiating the RFP process for Civil Engineering firms, establishing the overall project budget and schedule, and soliciting proposals for a Construction Manager at Risk. Additionally, tasks involve issuing RFPs for Owner Consultants, coordinating with the design team and CM-R, liaising with Duke Progress, and closely collaborating with the Head of School, Board of Directors, Building, and Grounds Committee, and coordination with key staff members.
Phase 2 of the Master Plan is a transformative step aimed at enhancing the CGHS campus to support holistic development and academic excellence. This phase involves the construction of five key facilities: a Chapel, a Spiritual Life Center, a Student Commons, a STEM Classroom Building, and a Quad.
Responsibilities include managing the Architectural RFQ process, overseeing the overall project budget and schedule, conducting cash flow analysis, and leading the proposal solicitation for a Construction Manager at Risk. Additional tasks involve issuing RFPs for Owner Consultants, coordinating efforts with the design team and CM-R, working with Duke Progress, and collaborating closely with the Head of School, Board of Directors, Building and Grounds Committee, and key staff members.
